Blimey.......

Morning folks nothing crafty to share this morning....so it's just me having a chat....we haven't had a chat for a while so pop on the kettle and park your bum somewhere comfy.....
It's greetings from a cold and chilly North East of Scotland and blimey what a shockeroonie this morning.....dashed downstairs to let my furry bundle of golden deliciousness out for his first piddle of the day......opened the back door and.everything is white....oh yes the first snow of winter....are we going to have a white Christmas do you think.   I love snow....oh I can hear you groaning from here....I know it's causes chaos on the roads and can be a real pain for those going to work each morning but it just transforms the landscape into something magical.
I am back watching the X Factor now that the terrible twins have gone.....and who do you think is going to win.....only 2 more weeks to go....my favourite has to be Cheryl's GEORDIE JOE.....what a voice and oh that smile....Danyl or Ollie just don't do it for me...and must admit I am not keen on Stacy either....but it's anybody's guess who the public will be voting for.
And I'm A Celebrity......what a riot last night....I haven't laughed so much in ages.....at Justin's antics with the fly...it was absolutely hilarious and of course...my favourite part of the program....those two lovable Geordie rogues....Ant and Dec.     Now I had a bit of a dilemma because it's on at the same time as my favourite programme of all time TOP GEAR.....so there was lots of channel hopping back and forth which drives hubby up the wall.....why don't I tape it and watch it later.....good question.....don't know how to.....all this modern technology is a complete mystery.....we have this all singing and dancing tape thingy and the farthest I have ever got is switching the blighter on.
Well off to get myself suited and booted for our cold crispy stroll.....good thing is...no muddy feet this morning but will catch up with you all tomorrow for a brand new challenge over at GET FUNKY.....it is my turn to set the challenge.....so see you all tomorrow at 9.00am sharpish.....in the meantime....keep warm and happy crafting.

Snowed under

Morning folks.....I'm snowed under.....no not with the white powdery stuff.....the paper variety....it's all go here in the cubbyhole......talk about Cuttlebug Clutter and Cubbyhole Chaos....and what happened to my resolution last year that this Christmas was going to be different....oh yes I was going to be so organised and have all my personal Christmas cards done and dusted in plenty of time.    Once again that magical time of the year is fast looming and the feeling that I will once again be running around like a scalded cat is taking over.   So much to do and so little time......I have got my wrapping paper...but no presents to wrap.....the ingredients for the Christmas cake but no time to bake it.......the tree and no time to trim it....don't you just wish you could summon up the Christmas Fairy to wave her magic wand.

Cards Everywhere

And I have just noticed that the magic 200,000 hits has long gone and I know that I promised you some blog candy.....well I have to hold my hands up in horror....it ain't gonna happen this side of Christmas....not unless you want my family sitting down to beans and a fried egg for Christmas Dinner....but I promise in the New Year....I will organise A BUMPER SUPER DUPER BLOG CANDY.....so be patient folks.
And talking of give-aways.....I am waiting for some of  you lucky winners over at Penny Black Saturday to e-mail me so I can get your prizes off in the post......the cubbyhole is looking a bit like Royal Mail's sorting office...I am falling over all these goodies....so come on folks......get e-mailing.
And I have a gorgeous card to share with you all from my lovely Fiskars buddy.....Ann.....I just adore this Penny Black Fantasy tree.....Ann now has a blog....yes all that nagging finally paid off but I just need to persuade her now to actually post something on it......she makes the most beautiful cards and it's high time that she was sharing them in blogland......don't you think.

The Budster and I have just returned from our morning stroll and it's snowing.....yes snowing....so it will be a day of crafting all cosy in the cubbyhole....I am having major challenge withdrawals so may find some time to sneak one in and must catch up with all my lovely bloggy buddies....I have so been neglecting them...catch up with you all later.
Hugs Kath xxx
Edited to add: if you are reading this Ann....you need to post this card on your blog and tell everyone how you made it.

Happy Birthday Craftwork Cards

Oh yes I'm back again with another Happy Birthday....this time for Craftwork Cards who are celebrating their 10th birthday.....have you been over to take a peek at their brand new website yet.....it's fabulous....so easy to zoom around looking at all the fab products....oh I know...guaranteed to make a serious dent in your bank balance....and oh boy did I get a big surprise...nearly choked on my coffee last night.......the birthday card I sent to celebrate is right up there on the header....chuffed or what...and it's hard to believe that it's 10 years since Sue started the company from the attic of her home....bet she can't believe it either.   Congratulations to Sue...Richard...Julie and all the team at Craftwork Cards and here's to the next 10 years.
I am a big fan of all things Craftwork Cards and became a member of their Card Club long before they had a website....way back in the days when I couldn't wait for my monthly newsletter to pop through the letterbox with all the new goodies and then get my order off in the mail.... little did I know all those years ago that one day.......can't share just yet...you will have to watch this space for some exciting news.....how naughty am I.

Plasma Numbers
In Circle Birthday Messages
Ribbon: Craftwork Cards

Birthday Time Again

Morning folks and it's time to pin back your ears once again..I did warn you I have lots of birthdays in November and today is a very special lady...my  fellow Scot and lovely teamie over at Funky Hand..Allison

Cue Music.....
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU
HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALLISON
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU

Have a lovely relaxing day lounging around in your super cosy fabbylicious dressy gown
(and believe me Allison....I was so tempted to post a pic)
with a glass or two tonight to celebrate.

I told you a few weeks ago that this is most sung song in the world and blimey.....I seem to have been singing it all this week..and still one more to go.   Survived my visit to the dentist yesterday and as a little treat to myself for being so brave.....oh yes I am a big coward when it comes to the dentist....I got 3 new CD's.....Alexandra Burke....Susan Boyle and that serious bit of eye candy Michael Buble......and I love them all.....but my favourite tracks are from Susan Boyle.....White Horses...the song she sang a few weeks ago on the X Factor and my favourite hymn of all time.....How Great Thou Art.....music is just one of my crafty must haves....can't craft without my CD's playing in the background and me singing along......unfortunately for my crafty furry friend....I can't sing in tune to save my life.... I love all kinds of music but my favourites are Mariah Carey..and her ex boyfriend Luis Miguel (yes he is Spanish)...don't always understand what he is singing but it sounds sexy and that will do me...Andrea Bocelli......Take That...Michael Buble.....Snow Patrol....Coldplay...Beyonce just to name a few.
Will be back soon to celebrate another very special birthday....but I promise not to sing this time.

Sneaky Peek Thursday

Morning folks and yes it's Thursday once again and can I just wish all our lovely crafty friends in the USA a very "Happy Thanksgiving"....a time for families and friends to get together and celebrate over yummy turkey dinners.    Can't say that I am envious....trying to organise 2 mega celebrations within a month of each other......oh no Christmas is more than enough for me.....and am I organised for that one....what do you think.
And talking of Christmas....the weather is turning decidely wintry here....the north wind doth blow and we shall have snow.....isn't that how the rhyme goes.....well believe me...the wind is definitely blowing a gale and it feels cold enough for snow......it's going to be a long long winter if we have snow at the beginning of December.      Mind you that may not be a bad thing....at least "The Budster" won't be trailing mud into the house...he either needs to get fitted with doggie wellies or learn to wipe his feet at the door like everyone else.
Well onto the sneaky peek for this week.....

bet that has got you baffled

And I am having a real fun day today.....starting off with another muddy walk....all wrapped up and looking like Michelin Man....quick change and dashing off to the dentist.... then off on the supermarket run to stock up on some food supplies....oh the joys.....well it makes sense to get them all over in the same day.....and would you believe.....I will be back tomorrow with another birthday sing-a-long.
You have only 2 days left to join in the Christmas Blog Hop over at Penny Black Saturday.....lots of fabulous prizes up for grabs.

Happy Birthday Time Again

Morning folks.....well I did warn you that I had lots of birthdays this month and today a very very special lady is celebrating her special day......

Cue Music.........
Happy Birthday to You
Happy Birthday to You
Happy Birthday Dear Anice
Happy Birthday to You

one of the sweetest girls and the best boss in the world.....yes you know who it is....the lovely Anice from Funky Hand.     I hope you have a lovely relaxing day....and that Ian has organised something very special to celebrate.....Ian and Anice have been working so hard over the last months to perfect their brand new CD.....and I know I am rattling on about it.....but it's fabulous.....the things you can do with this CD will blow your mind away and already my lovely teamies are hard at work making scrummy things for the release....and I don't know if I am allowed to say.....but early next year......just think when you are all Christmassed out....you have this to look forward to.
And I can't believe this......Anice is letting you all share in her birthday celebrations....well I wasn't going to give the lady's age away......but all will be revealed if you pop over to the Funky Hand website today.....make a purchase....you will get a whopping discount of.....wait for it 41%....how generous is that.....you don't get an offer like that everyday....so hot foot it over there PDQ....all you need to do is enter 41TODAY in the discount code box when you checkout.
And once again.....I am saying a big thank you to one of my lovely Funky Hand teamies......Enfys thought that I was in need of some crafty cheering up so yesterday morning the postie arrived with a bumper bundle of delicious crafty stuff and the sweetest little card...thank you so much En for your lovely kind thoughts....and like the rest of my wonderful teamies over at Funky Hand.....a wonderful friend..   Apologies for the terrible pic....but the weather here is so dark and dismal.....one of the things of which we have absolutely no control over.
A huge thank you to all those who have e-mailed asking if I am OK.....yes I am fine.....it's been a real rollercoaster ride of emotions the last few weeks....sink or swim situation....but I've never been a doom and gloom person so it's time to pull myself up by the bootstraps... ditch the negative and move forward.... and yes I can see light at the end of the tunnel now and as always there are always folks out there far worse off.
I don't know if you have visited my hero this week....yes the one and only Tim Holtz....well poor guy has been having a bit of a tough time too... his computer was stolen from his car containing all the photos for his new book....new stamp image artwork and CHA stuff... months and months of work.....and he was left thinking....WHY ME....WHAT HAVE I DONE TO DESERVE THIS.....well sometimes life throws these things at us for no reason....in his case...he was in the wrong place at the wrong time...and I don't believe that bad things happen to people because they have been bad......like me he is so fortunate to have the support of wonderful family and friends to lift his spirits and help him move on which is exactly what he is doing.....the good news is he has decided to do his "12 Tags of Christmas" again this year starting on December 1st.......a master class each day with "The King" himself.
It's time for "The Budster" and I to set off on our morning stroll......it's blowing a real hooley out there..so it's time to wrap up cosy warm...and they are forecasting snow in this neck of the woods........is it going to be a "White Christmas" I wonder...... catch up with you all later......Hugs Kath xxxxxxx

Time for Sneaky Peeks

Morning folks and yes it's Thursday again and time for sneaky peeks.....I can't believe how near we are to Christmas now......blimey....a little bit of a panic in the cubbyhole...well to be honest MAJOR PANIC...if the truth be known....but we put ourselves through this every year....do we ever learn....NO....so this one will pass just the same as all the rest and then we wonder why we got so uptight about it all.

Well nothing else to share today folks and what do we do in this country when we run out of chat....we talk about the weather......crikey what is happening there....yesterday was the most glorious sunny day...ok with a little chill in the air...but it could have been an early spring day......this morning as I sit and type this....lovely and cosy in my jammies right next to the radiator belching out heat....it's still pitch black outside....the wind is howling and the rain lashing against the window.......AND "`The Budster" is itching for his walk.....and yes you've guessed it.....it's going to be another wet and muddy dog day.....but a perfect Cubbyhole Crafting Day.

Daring Cardmakers Challenge

Morning folks....and it's time for another challenge card....yes I am managing to fit the occasional one in between other things.   The challenge this week over at Daring Cardmakers is from the lovely Paula......

SCRAPLINGS.....
well I've been a crafter for many years..but this was a new one on me and hey it just goes to show that you can teach an old dog new tricks.....

"Scraplings are little narrow cards made from scrap cardstock. You know how when you make a card from a a piece of A4 or Letter sized cardstock you're left with an off-cut? Well that's the basis of a Scrapling. When folded in half, the Scrapling's card front will measure roughly 2 1/2" x 4 1/4" , though this depends of course on the size of card you were making in the first place....well now you know."

Stampin Up Kraft Paper
Scraps from MME...Merry Days of Christmas
Pink Petticoat...Little Fleurs Collection
Image: Hero Arts...Let it Snow
Buttons...ribbon...gems and thread from stash
Sentiments: Making Memories Tiny Alpha
Doodlebug Cardstock Stickers

I normally do keep the waste from white cardstock as I use it for stamping images and matting sentiments but hey this is a brand new use and I am loving these cute and dinky little cards.....how great would they look as tags on your christmas parcels and great for place settings at your Christmas table...just use alphas to add the names....and perfect for using up all those itty bitty scraps of paper that we all tend to hoard.....in fact made from scraps left on my desk after making this card.....

Catch up with you all tomorrow for some real exciting news...in fact next week is going to be a bumper bumper week of good news and lots of fun......Friday is a very special day...can't say any more about that  and make sure you join us next week on Penny Black Saturday for a very special challenge with oodles of fabulous prizes to be won....oops I may be in big trouble for letting the cat out of the bag.

Morning folks....time for another challenge from Polkadoodles....and this week we have another fabby sketch from Nikky and the Design Team were asked to use "Not for Girls" CD.

Sentiment: American Crafts Thickers

Crikey I have just realised that this is Friday the 13th....not that I am normally superstitious but perhaps I will just keep a low profile today...stay in the cubbyhole crafting and keep well away from guillotines....craft knives and the like.....catch up with you all tomorrow for another challenge over at Penny Black Saturday.
